The piece of furniture shown is an eye-catching console table construction made of reddish-brown marble with a lively grain and polished surface.
The table top is elongated and octagonal with beveled ends. It rests on two pillar-like, solid-looking supports, whose octagonal base shape and baroque appearance are reminiscent of classical architectural forms.
The two supports are each fitted with a central wooden cladding at the back, which provides stability and also simplifies installation. The interplay of solid presence and graphic lines is particularly striking, giving the furniture an almost sculptural quality.
A small label on the underside of the top shows a stylized P logo with a goblet or chalice motif.
Stylistically, the furniture can be placed in the context of Italian postmodernism or neoclassicism, probably created in the 1980s, when marble consoles with an architectural gesture were in great demand - both in private interiors and in prestigious reception areas.

The overall condition of the furniture is very good. The marble surfaces have a beautiful natural patina and only minimal signs of age-related wear, particularly on the edges. The surface shines evenly and shows no visible flaking. The construction is stable and the individual parts are neatly joined. The console table presents itself as a high-quality, expressive individual piece with a strong presence.
