Beautiful and complete set of four vintage decorative art prints after works by Croatian naïve artist Ivan Štefánek (1942), depicting the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The four rural landscapes change beautifully with the seasons, from colourful spring flowers and golden summer fields to warm autumn tones and a snowy winter village. The images have a distinctive metallic/foil effect with visible texture, giving them much more depth and detail than an ordinary flat print. The designs are signed Štefánek in the image. All four have been preserved together in matching vintage clip frames. The backs are individually marked Lente, Zomer, Herfst and Winter (Dutch for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter), with 1988 markings on the backs.
