Product description
This is a vintage ceramic bowl from the renowned Finnish brand Arabia, belonging to the iconic Emilia series. This bowl, designed in the 1950s, bears the name Emilia and was designed by Raija Uosikkinen. The Emilia decoration was based on Raija Uosikkinen's black-and-white drawings of memories of her stylish aunt who visited America in the early 1950s and returned with beautiful gifts for the children.
Emilia is made of high-quality ceramic with printed black decoration on a white background. The Emilia series remained in production from 1959 to 1966. The square shape with rounded corners measures 18 centimeters in width and depth, with a height of 2.5 centimeters. The bowl functions excellently as a decorative element on a sideboard or as a refined serving dish on a coffee table.
The bowl is in perfect condition. The object is in very good condition, with the original shine and sharpness of the illustration preserved excellently. The structural integrity is completely intact, testifying to the durable quality for which Arabia is known. The original Arabia Finland stamp is clearly visible on the bottom, confirming the authenticity and origin from Finland.
