Before starting the colourful and provocative Memphis style, Ettore Sottsass was already a well-known and prolific designer. The "Loto Rosso" is more tame than his later works, and it carries with it an air of tranquility. A round beveled base, a column leg that is neither too thick nor thin, and a generous marble countertop - that's all it took, and just look at it! The piece we have bears strong similarities with the Loto Rosso but, because we're dealing with Sottsass' resounding name and we can't be certain if it's an original or not, we're being careful.
