Space age design by Raphael Raffel, a 1960s Club chair in injection moulded plastic shell.
This is a European version produced in France during the 60s, not a later licensed Herman Miller.
Raffel was far ahead of his time with the organic shaped space age tub design. A very remarkable and light design in nature, resembling an open tulip.
The tub is padded with thick foam in the seating area and covered in a bright orange leatherette.
The plastic tub is in excellent condition. The leatherette is likely original but with some wear in the fabric. It’s perfectly usable as is, upholstery could be done for a perfect result.
