ARTELUCE FLOOR LAMP CLUB 1195 | DESIGNED BY GIUSEPPE RAMELLA, 1985
This iconic postmodern floor lamp, designed by Giuseppe Ramella for Arteluce in 1985, features a striking black and white metal body with a telescopic conical base, allowing for height adjustment from 130 to 158 cm. The opal diffuser can be fully rotated for customizable lighting, and the built-in switch on the base offers two light intensity settings. A 12V halogen bulb (30–50W) provides a warm, ambient glow.
The lamp is in good vintage condition, with some scratches on the base and small cracks in the plastic diffuser. The original steel clips remain intact, securing the diffuser as intended. There is also some light scratching on the black "eyeball" attached to the diffuser. The paintwork is exceptionally well-preserved, and the extension mechanism operates smoothly.
A stunning example of Italian postmodern design, this piece epitomizes Arteluce’s innovative approach to lighting. A true collector’s item and a functional statement piece, this floor lamp is a rare find.
