In French kitchens of the interwar period, the glass citrus juicer was a morning staple. Functional, sturdy, and beautiful in its simplicity, it stood the test of time for decades without aging. This one is made of transparent pressed glass, boasting excellent molding quality. Its round shape, with a pouring spout and two small side handles, rests on a flat, eight-pointed star-patterned base. The central cone with radiating ribs is surrounded by a crown of raised dots that retain the seeds during juicing. The glass captures the light and redistributes it in all directions. The embossed details of the base, seen through the transparency, form an almost decorative motif. Diameter approximately 18-19 cm. Transparent pressed glass, France, circa . Still perfectly functional, it also finds its place as a decorative object in a vintage kitchen or on a well-curated antique display.
