👨🎨 About the artist :
Claude ROUTIER (1943-1999), a native of Sète, is a French painter and writer celebrated for his works full of life, humor and visual poetry. He is notably the author of the famous painting "Le Génie de la Gare" (The Station Genius), exhibited in the concourse of Sète station.
After a career in the French Ministry of Education, he turned to painting in 1984. His work, exhibited in Montpellier, Brussels, Madrid and Reims, blends sensuality of line and tenderness for the Mediterranean.
