Product description
This sleek classic string regulator by Warmink from the 1960s looks like new. Even the winding stool is still neatly wrapped in its velvet storage bag. This sleek classic clock has so much charm and character that it will look completely at home in any interior. The classic oblong rectangular box shape is glazed on three sides. The large glass door features faceted glass, giving it a chic look. Because the clock case is fitted with glass on three sides, this clock can also be considered a skeleton clock, making the operation of the ingenious movement fully visible. The great advantage is that unlike a regular skeleton clock, the movement is well protected from dust and dirt by the case. The large off-white dial with Roman numerals and seconds display harmonizes with the large gold-colored pendulum head and the two gold-colored weights suspended from a pulley over which the strings run. The arched top completes the look. The round gong develops a deep, full and warm sound, which is enhanced by the body of solid walnut wood. The sound of the round gong can be turned off by means of a lever on the left side. This type of bells were made in the 1950s - 1960s in Almelo at the Warmink bell factory that operated under the name WUBA. Unfortunately, this clock factory, whose history dates back to 1785, had to close its doors in 1987. This clock is mentioned in their exclusive catalog from that time under the name "INNSBRUCK". This clock was definitely not available to everyone as it cost more than 5 times a regular monthly salary. The dimensions of this magnificent clock: 100 x 31.5 x 15.5 cm. The buyer can come and see the clock before purchase and listen to the wonderful sound of the round gong that sounds like a warm church bell by appointment.
