A circular table in the style of Willy Rizzo, 1970s. The top and base are veneered in burr (amboyne/myrtle) with a superb sheen, encircled by a brass band. The central shaft is lacquered black with brass-accented facets, creating a graphic and very "jet-set" silhouette. The piece evokes Rizzo's designs for Rome and Paris in the late 1960s and 70s: precious materials, gleaming brass, black lacquer, and simple lines serving understated luxury. A star photographer turned designer, Willy Rizzo furnished the interiors of the high society scene (Paloma Picasso, Bardot, etc.) and created a glamorous and timeless aesthetic. Ideal as a dining table for 4-6 people or as a chic centerpiece, it brings a sophisticated vintage touch to any décor.
