Historically important chair, the kirkestol or church chair, designed in 1936 by the godfather of modern Danish design Kaare Klint for the Church of Bethlehem and became emblematic for its use in Grundtvig's Church. Made by Fritz Hansen in Copenhagen. The chair has been fully restored: reglued, refinished, and with a new paper cord seat. The back still shows some signs of use as you can see in the photos. Overall, in very good condition. HxLxPxSH: 81 cm X 45 cm X 40 cm X 44 cm. The chair is 100% original from Kaare Klint for Fritz Hansen, but the label is probably under the paper cord, as is the case with many early Fritz Hansen chairs.
