Offered is a pair of signed photographic prints by acclaimed American photographer Christopher Makos, internationally recognised for his close friendship and artistic collaboration with Andy Warhol.
This set includes two iconic works:
Altered Image featuring Andy Warhol from Makos' renowned Altered Images series.
Pure (Harlem Chinese Crested), a striking portrait reflecting Makos' distinctive photographic style.
Both prints come from the same private collection and have remained together for many years.
Each print measures 48.5 × 60 cm (image/paper size).
The reverse of both prints features:
Original Makostudio stamp
Handwritten title
Handwritten signature by Christopher Makos
Handwritten notations ("81" and "99")
Condition
Both prints are in good vintage condition and show signs consistent with their age.
They have previously been framed and therefore show minor marks along the outer edges. The Pure print also displays slight waviness of the paper. These imperfections are outside the visible image area and would generally be concealed when professionally framed.
