Christian Peschke (1946-2017) was a German modernist sculptor and painter. In both media, he stylized the female nude in a way reminiscent of the full-bodied figures seen in the paintings of Fernando Botero (see, for example, the accompanying photo of the artist with such a stylized female figure behind him). The clown in the lithograph offered here has also been given similar contours.
The lithograph on heavy paper (Rives 270 g) is numbered and signed and is in pristine condition. Dimensions: 63 x 52 cm.
Works by Peschke are held in the collections of Prince Albert II of Monaco and the Museum of European Art in Germany, among others.
