Product description
An expressive bas-relief figure of Christ, probably dating from the post-war period (early 1960s). The hand-formed statue is crafted from a light stone and mounted on a wooden plaque with inlaid mosaic in warm red tones. The contrast between the understated relief and the deep color variations of the background creates a particularly powerful and understated whole.
A refined piece of religious art with strong symbolism, in excellent condition.
