Beautiful large grandfather clock (also known as a grandfather clock), in good working order, with oriental-style decorations and two different chiming tones. This clock was made by the Portuguese watchmaker "Reguladora," founded in 1892, the oldest clock factory in the Iberian Peninsula. Manufactured in the mid-20th century, it is highly decorative. Made of solid ebonized wood. It works with three chiming drums and a manual winding key. It has two melodies or chimes, one from the Westminster Chime and the other from the Ave Maria of Fátima, regulated from the dial by a hand. The clock face is in excellent condition and is made of hand-carved bronze. The upper part features the chime hand, the regulator, combined Roman and Arabic numerals, and the manufacturer's name. The lower part, also on the same dial, is protected by a glass door. The clock hands have a black Rococo design. On the front of the clock, there is a door to access the pendulum, made of solid wood, hand-painted, with typical Chinese landscapes, in golden tones and with green details on a black background, called Chinoiseries. This is a wonderful hall clock, elegant and with a classic design, ideal to add value to your home and to enjoy the charm of the craftsmanship and know-how of one of the longest-standing watchmakers in Europe.
