This beautiful Chinese scroll painting captures the essence of a historical poem about the struggle of the three states during the Han Dynasty, circa 200 AD. The calligraphy, an art form in itself, is masterfully executed and offers a window into the past, depicting the dramatic events surrounding the city of Chi Bi on the Yangtze River. The work is not only a tribute to history but also a warning to prevent a repeat in the future. The poem was carefully calligraphed by the artist Ding Su Shan in Chengdu, with a London stamp as proof of authenticity. This artwork would make a valuable addition to any collection. Painter: Ding Su Shan; calligraphed in Chengdu in 1984. Name of poet: Su Shi (Tang Dynasty). Material: Watercolor on rice paper with two wooden sticks at the bottom. Dimensions of artwork (on rice paper): 88 x 33 cm, total dimensions of scroll: 148 cm x 44 cm. Condition: In good used condition with minor signs of wear and tear.
