Chinese Canton polychrome enamelled copper ewer, dating from the 18th century.
Elegant baluster shape with a yellow-green background, entirely adorned with rich polychrome floral decoration. It features a long spout ending in a fish head, a large ornate handle with enamelled decoration, and a lid topped with a zoomorphic finial.
The particularly abundant decoration combines flowers, foliage, and reserves on a bright background, with highlights of blue, pink, green, and white.
A beautiful example of the work of painted enamels on Chinese Canton copper in the 18th century.
