Small plush chair for children aged 2 and up, dating from the 1960s.
It features a teddy bear similar to the one in the children's animated series with puppets "Bonne nuit les petits" (Good Night, Little Ones), broadcast every evening starting in 1962. This bear visits two children, Pimprenelle and Nicolas, before bedtime. He asks them questions about their day, then tells them a story and throws a handful of golden sand like rain on the sleeping children.
So many memories!
The frame is made of silver-plated metal, the legs are made of round metal tubing with plastic tips. The condition is acceptable, considering its past. The seat and the tips of the ears have been restored with a cartoon-patterned fabric to modernize it a little. A remnant of the manufacturer's label is attached to the back of one leg.
This little chair, a treasured keepsake for older children from the "Pimprenelle and Nicolas" generation, will decorate their grandchildren's rooms, where they will feel protected in the arms of this 60-year-old teddy bear!
