Product description
This pair of lounge chairs is the Type 366 model designed by Józef Chierowski and produced in Poland during the 1960s, one of the most recognizable examples of Eastern Bloc mid-century design. The chairs are built on a solid wood frame with the model's signature splayed, tapering legs and paddle-shaped armrests, upholstered in a textured green tweed fabric. Sold as a pair, they bring a cohesive mid-century silhouette to a living room or reading corner, whether kept side by side or placed apart as accent seating.
Condition and Character
Original condition with signs of use and a prior repair. One of the armrests has been glued back in the past and was not perfectly realigned, leaving a small visible gap at the joint. Both chairs show smaller surface scratches to the wood frames and general fading to the upholstery consistent with age. The frames remain stable and the chairs are comfortable to sit in as-is, making them a solid base for a refurbishment or reupholstery project if desired. A manufacturer's label is present on the underside of one chair.
