A beautiful vintage pastry set by English Ironstone Tableware (EIT) Ltd. from Staffordshire, England. Executed in the classic red "pink transferware" style with detailed images of the English countryside.
The set consists of:
1 Large serving plate / Cake plate: Diameter approx. 24 cm. In very good condition.
6 Pastry plates: Diameter approx. 17 cm.
Condition:
The set has a beautiful, authentic vintage look. The large serving plate is virtually intact. Five of the six pastry plates show slight crazing (fine hairline cracks in the glaze). This is not very noticeable and is consistent with the age of this type of ironstone earthenware. No chips or cracks.
An ideal set for a classic high tea or as a decorative addition to a country-style interior.
