Large abstract screen print by Charlotte Molenkamp, featuring flowers and gardens and titled "Japanese Garden." The dynamic shapes and vibrant colors, a harmonious blend of red, pink, green, and gray, make this screen print a striking focal point in any room.

Charlotte Molenkamp (Tilburg, 1955) studied at the St. Joost Academy in Breda and then attended the Art Academy in her native Tilburg.
She is the daughter of the renowned painter Nico Molenkamp. She spent her childhood at "Koningshoeven," where she grew up in an environment focused on the visual arts, closely connected to nature, tranquility, and the changing seasons. Charlotte Molenkamp primarily paints gouaches and oil paintings: “I’m actually left-handed, but I’ve learned to use my right hand as well. It’s no longer difficult for me. I work with both hands simultaneously, because painting is my number one activity; the story follows naturally. In my right hand, I have a palette knife and in my left, my brush, usually a flat, wide brush, a spalter. I’m constantly breaking down and building up. Someone once asked me if I don’t make preliminary studies. I replied that the preliminary studies were all underneath!”
Her work is sometimes abstract, sometimes verging on figurative, and more recently, she has also increasingly featured human figures, rendered sketchily, but always interwoven with the background of the canvases. Charlotte Molenkamp’s work is primary, dynamic, and vibrant, focused on conveying strong emotions as quickly as possible. The canvases are often large in size, which makes the impression even more overwhelming. Amidst all the colorful explosions of paint, however, a sense of balance and harmony remains, and the power of the first impression gradually gives way to a sense of coherence and order in the viewer's mind.
Charlotte Molenkamp's work is included in numerous important collections, including that of the Royal Family.
