Beautiful Dutch design lounge chairs designed by Rob Parry and manufactured by Gelderland in the Netherlands.
Chrome-plated base with hardwood armrests and frame. Upholstered in high-quality white leather, these chairs have a modern look. A true gem for any design enthusiast. The chairs are in excellent condition, consistent with their age and use.
About the designer: Several iconic furniture designs by Rob Parry have been produced by Gelderland. Rob Parry (born 1925) is a renowned Dutch industrial designer. Gerrit Rietveld was one of his mentors. His style is characterized by elegant lines and the way materials are used.
Parry studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. After graduating, Parry started his own company. Until 1995, he designed interiors, furniture, stands, exhibitions, jewelry, signage, and toys. He also taught architectural design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam for thirty years. Several of Rob Parry's designs are in the collections of various museums, including the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
