Product description
This set of four armchairs follows the celebrated "Cesca" design originally created by Marcel Breuer, a hallmark of Bauhaus-inspired furniture that fuses tubular chrome steel with a cane seat and backrest. Dating from the 1990s, this later production captures the model's signature cantilevered silhouette, floating seat, and bentwood armrests, all built without rear legs for a light, hovering effect. The combination of chrome, beech, and hand-woven cane gives each chair a warm yet architectural presence. With four matching pieces, this set works well around a dining table or as accent seating in a living room.
Condition and Character
Original condition with signs of use, including inconsistent discoloring across the set and light scratches to the chrome frames. The cane seats and backrests have not all faded evenly, likely due to differing exposure to light or use in separate rooms over the years, so the tone of the caning varies noticeably from chair to chair.
