Certified Art Print Water Lily 5/88 from the Stop Thinking series by Wei Ping.
Wei Ping is a multi-talented artist known for her "written" screen prints with the theme "Stop Thinking. Wei Ping has had dozens of exhibitions at home and abroad. Work of hers hangs in a number of museums including Shanghai Art Museum; the Shanghai Library; Guangzhou Art Museum.
In her work, she repeats the short text "Stop Thinking" the theme of the series she created some 15 years ago. With this theme, Wei indicates that in our busy complicated world, we do not take enough time for feeling and emotion and our relationships.
Gallery 54 has exclusivity to sell Wei Ping's silkscreens and Certified Art Prints, all hand-signed and signed. The silkscreens are printed, in a small edition, on rice paper. This is still done the traditional way by hand.
The Certified Art Prints are machine printed and then hand numbered and signed by the artist.
Wei Ping gets her inspiration from her daily life and many of her models are her family members including her infant son, sister, niece and father.
The Art Print comes in passe-partout.
