Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, interwar period. The Céranord factory there then produced fine earthenware known for the solidity of its clay and the understated nature of its printed decorations. The stamp on the back, with the inscription of the "Mosquée" model and the "Made in France" mark, places this piece within this quality production, which was active until the 1950s. The "Mosquée" decor exhibits great graphic coherence. Against the ivory background, a frieze animated by red lines, green cross-hatching, and small stylized floral motifs runs across the entire body. The lines are crisp, the colors bold, the overall effect displaying a geometric elegance characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic applied to tableware. The form is that of a pouring bowl, with a pinched spout and a side handle, approximately 14 cm in diameter. The earthenware is thick, well-glazed, possessing the characteristic solidity of quality French industrial productions. A few traces of use on the inside, consistent with the age of the piece, with no cracks or chips observed. Placed on a buffet or integrated into a "Mosquée" set, it asserts its presence with the understated elegance of beautiful objects.
