Product description
Very nice jug with lid by Belgian ceramicist Fernand Dubois (1861-1939), featuring a floral motif. Dimensions width: ca. 19 cm, depth ca. 16 cm, height ca. 18 cm (ca. 16 cm without lid). The artist has manually signed the jug and marked it "S 94". The jug is of fairly good vintage quality with three minor damages namely a small chip on lid rim, not visible when the lid is placed, a small chip on the casting rim and a tiny almost invisible chip next to a leaf motif. Fernand Dubois was a personal friend of Victor Horta, who designed F. Dubois' Art Nouveau home with studio (Forest, Brussels).
