Table lamp combining a celadon porcelain base decorated using the pâte-sur-pâte technique popular in the 19th century (circa 1880-1900).
This technique involves applying white porcelain to a colored background to create a cameo effect, visible here in the delicate floral motifs against the celadon blue-green background.
The base is made of Empire-style bronze.
This lamp was originally an oil lamp.
Good condition.
Fully restored by a professional lampmaker.
Gold-tone socket cover + black E27 socket, 4W warm white vintage LED bulb, switch + plug + antique gold-tone cable (2m long).
Waxed with microcrystalline wax to prevent oxidation of the bronze.
Upon request:
We can fit a gold-tone ring socket free of charge if you prefer a classic lampshade.
Our lamps are not new.
They may show some signs of wear or light scratches due to age. We document and photograph the most significant defects.
