A beautiful Mid - Century modern desk designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe in the 1960s, transformed into a unique functional work of art by Studio Opknappers. This piece embodies timeless Dutch design, with high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship.
The desk is made of wenge wood veneer on the top, sides and drawer fronts, finished with solid wenge wood. The drawers are finished with solid steel handles. It offers plenty of storage space with three drawers on the left side and two on the right, including a bottom drawer with an Atlanta hanging file system. In addition, there is a two-way pull-out tray, perfect for putting down a cup of coffee or extra work space.
This exceptional piece of furniture has been professionally restored and uniquely enhanced by Studio Refurbishers:
- The wood has been revitalized and treated with beeswax, restoring its natural beauty.
- A striking artwork has been added to the back panel, making it a stunning 360-degree centerpiece.
- The pull-out drawer and desktop have matching artistic details, seamlessly blending design and function.
A true showpiece, this desk will look best in a spacious office or workspace. A rare fusion of authentic Mid - Century design and unique Studio Opknappers artistry.
For easier transportation, the table top is removable.
Although largely restored by Studio Opknappers, signs of use consistent with the piece's age remain. Scratches and dents in the wood veneer, primarily below the drawer handles, are visible upon close inspection.
