A characterful Swedish table lamp by Carl-Harry Stålhane, one of the most important ceramists and designers associated with the renowned Swedish ceramics house Rörstrand. Stålhane gained fame from the 1950s with his expressive ceramics, characterized by special glazing techniques and a strong focus on form and material.
This lamp is a beautiful example of his distinctive ceramic work. The tall, slender form is combined with a striking glaze in which green tones, dark blue, brown, and subtle coppery shades alternate. The surface has a lively, almost abstract pattern that looks different from every angle. The manual finish and irregular color gradients give the lamp a distinct vintage character.
