This is a set of two original Carl Hansen & Søn Wishbone chairs, crafted from soaped oak. This iconic design by Hans J. Wegner, also known as the CH24, is an absolute classic in Danish design and stands out due to its distinctive Y-shaped backrest.
The chairs are made of solid oak with a light, natural finish and feature a seat made of woven papercord. They were produced in Denmark, as confirmed by the original brand sticker on the underside. The combination of the light wood and the beige cord gives the chairs a calm, organic look typical of Scandinavian design.
The set is in excellent condition with an authentic character. Over the years, the wood and papercord have developed a light, natural patina that highlights the history of the piece of furniture, while the construction has remained completely intact and sturdy. Signs of wear consistent with age.
