The Carl Hansen & Søn CH22 armchair, designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1950, is an iconic piece of Danish design. This early masterpiece demonstrates Wegner's unparalleled ability to combine organic forms with exceptional craftsmanship, resulting in a timeless and extremely comfortable lounge chair. Crafted from solid oak with an oiled finish. The seat is hand-woven from natural papercord, a signature material that offers both durability and a subtle texture. The striking, sculptural armrests and the characteristic wooden end caps in the backrest highlight the refined construction details typical of Wegner's designs. The armchair is in excellent condition.
