The design of this wooden chair by Italian designer Vico Magistretti (1920) dates back to 1959. The chair was originally designed for the restaurant of a golf club in Italy named Carimate. Easily recognizable by the thickening in the legs. Upholstered in rush. The chair was marketed by Comi and Artemide (in Italy and Great Britain) as well as by Cassina (in Europe from 1962). To mark Vico Magistretti's 100th birthday in 2020, Fritz Hansen released a new version of the chair, featuring some minor changes to the backrest, seat height, and upholstery material. This old model was once red but was stained a dark brown by the previous owner. In vintage condition with some signs of wear on the color; I have touched this up slightly so it is less noticeable, see photos.
