Lotus flower pendant light by Robert de Schuytener from the 1980s.
It features 12 burgundy lacquered petals and a gold interior edged with burgundy fabric trim.
Robert de Schuytener was a designer and manufacturer of lighting fixtures and decorative objects, best known for vintage and designer lamps produced in the second half of the 20th century (1960s–1980s). His name appears on lighting pieces—table lamps, wall sconces, lamp bases—often signed or attributed to his workshop, with a style that oscillates between vintage modernism and post-war French interior design. He developed a production that circulated in the 1970s and 80s, and his lamps are now sought after as collector's items or retro decorative pieces. The cord is short but can easily be replaced. It uses a standard socket. Note: the varnish/lacquer is cracked in places (visible only when you get close) and one petal is slightly dented (see last photo)
