Set comprising a tapered candlestick and a square bowl in solid bronze, in an expressive, textured Brutalist style. Each of the two elements bears an engraved inscription in a scarified style:
- "Angels' share" (on the candlestick)
- Well-defined place" (on the dish)
The surface has been polished unevenly, bringing out certain browner areas. This deliberate effect develops a contrasting patina, evoking the wear of time while retaining a certain brilliance. The set is unsigned, but strongly evocative of a 1980s French artisanal production in the style of "En attendant les barbares".
