A striking brutalist desk set made of solid brass, consisting of a tray and matching letter opener. The strictly geometric grid structure, the block-like form, and the sculptural effect are typical of European Brutalism of the 1960s and 70s.
Formally, the set is stylistically related to brutalist sculpture of that era and, in its archaic presence, is reminiscent of works in the style of Luigi Stefan Varga – without attribution or signature.
