This remarkable statue was sold as a souvenir in the 1950s. It comes from Verona, Italy, and was sold by E. Ferrari, who was based at the time on the Corso del Porta Borsari.
This Ferrari family does not make cars, but art. For instance, descendant Virginio Ferrari is a famous sculptor whose works can be found worldwide. The statue depicts a knight. His winged helmet hangs on his back. His horse wears the same decorations. The work is made of bronzed copper and stands on a granite pedestal. It is not surprising that it weighs five kilos! The height is 25 centimeters. Because the sword once broke off after falling from a table and was then reattached with superglue, I will only ship if the risk of damage cannot be attributed to me. Incidentally, it is remarkable how easily the sword can be repaired with the right glue. (I would prefer home pickup, by the way).
