This elegant set of 10 oval pressed glass bowls is part of the “Chicago” service by Brockwitz Glasfabrik, a prestigious German glass manufacturer established in 1903. Known for its exceptional craftsmanship and richly detailed pressed glass, Brockwitz became one of the leading producers in Europe during the early 20th century, with designs that reflect the bold geometry and decorative flair of the Art Deco movement.
Cataloged in the 1936 Brockwitz catalog as Gurkenschale oval (cucumber bowls), model No. 28034/24, each bowl measures 24 × 10.5 cm. The design features a radiant starburst motif in the center and a gently scalloped edge that embodies the refined style of the era.
