A wooden abstract sculpture (ca. 1970) by British sculptor Brian Willsher.
Created by hand-cutting each piece on a bandsaw, from a modest studio in his home in Southeast London.
Willsher sculpted intuitively, a process he described as "scribbling in wood"—each sculpture was made exclusively by him, and while his work is instantly recognizable by his signature style, no two are identical.
This sculpture is in excellent vintage condition, with a few minor dents.
Like many of his works, this one is unsigned. His works are rarely offered for sale in the Netherlands.
His larger and more complex pieces fetch many thousands of euros.
