Set of 6 dining chairs designed by Børge Mogensen and produced by Fredericia Stolefabrik in Denmark in the 1960s. Model J39.
Also known as the "People's Chair," the J39 is one of Børge Mogensen's most iconic designs. The chair embodies the essence of Danish functionalism, with honest materials and a straightforward design. The chair has a frame made of solid beech wood, a subtly curved backrest and a hand-woven seat made of papercord. The proportions are simple yet refined, ensuring excellent seating comfort. This particular set is made of solid beech wood and shows hardly any visible signs of use.
