Braun 5941 Phase 1 clock from the 1970s. Designed by Dieter Rams in 1971. An iconic and minimalist design characteristic of Braun during this period. Pairs well with a vintage space age lamp or PS500 turntable, a Raak Kartell Joe Colombo, or an Artemide Weltron Sankyo Rosita Vision 2000 from the 1960s.
In beautiful condition. I have used it myself for years and the movement keeps perfect time.
Defects:
- The alarm function no longer works.
- The adjustment wheel at the bottom for manually setting the hour does not work. This was already the case when I bought it. This is easily solved by using the clock during the hour displayed on the screen. And voila, the hour is set :) The minutes can be set manually, however.
