An extendable table with a solid oak top and a metal base.
The top measures 140x80 cm in normal condition and 182x80 cm when unfolded.
Its height is 75 cm, making it ideal as a dining table.
The top is made of oak parquet. According to an inscription the designer found on one of the planks, the parquet is exactly 50 years old.
He used 10 mm MDF as the base and glued the parquet to it.
The edge is Swiss-style (beveled) and covered with natural oak veneer, as is the entire top underneath. The top was first treated with natural oil, suitable for food contact, and then he applied furniture varnish for the finish, which gives it a slightly glossy effect.
For the table base, he chose a "Spyder" base, which is finished in black with a hammered effect that contributes to the table's unique look.
You can see the paint in the last photo. The mechanism is semi-automatic: when you pull one leaf, the other opens as well. Then, all you have to do is place the extra leaf, located under the main leaf, and enjoy a cozy dinner with family and friends.
