Very beautiful and colorful work by Bram van Velde. The whole thing is in great condition. Neatly framed! Signed in pencil by the artist. -Bram van Velde - color lithograph - 1976 - edition 100 copies - frame 93 x 73 cm - image 74 x 54 cm Bram van Velde, along with his brother Geer, grew up in extreme poverty. The van Velde family led a vagrant life and had just enough money to eat. How extraordinary that Bram and Geer van Velde achieved great fame as self-taught artists, both nationally and internationally. Bram moved to Paris in the 1920s, where he was particularly inspired by Matisse. With exhibitions in Paris, Germany and America, he established himself as one of the greatest Dutch modern artists of the 20th century. His work is characterized by a lyrical abstraction, in which figurative elements are no longer present, unlike, for example, the ideas of the Cobra. We sell a number of interesting graphic works from our gallery in Woudrichem. Be sure to take a look at our other offers on this site.
