For sale is a beautiful plate/bowl/tray from Neue Münchener Kunstgewerbe GmbH (NMK) dating from the 1920s. Marked "NMK" and "14" on the underside.
In 1922, Willy Wenz and his fellow academy member Albert Gustav Bunge founded the "Gesellschaft für Gebrauchskunst" (Society for Applied Arts). In 1924, this company merged with Alois Wörles to form "Neue Münchener Kunstgewerbe GmbH" (NMK), which in turn became "Neue Münchener Kunstwerkstätten AG" (New Munich Art Workshops).
Dimensions: approx. 3 cm high, 25.5 cm in diameter.
