(after) Gaudí – decorative bowl
Square ceramic bowl in the trencadís style, inspired by the work of Antoni Gaudí and the mosaic shapes and symbolism found in places like Park Güell (Barcelona). Marked on the bottom with the text: ‘Antoni Gaudí 1852–1926’.
The bowl is a posthumous homage/licensed design object, likely made in Spain in the 1980s and 1990s. The crackled base and colorful abstract and organic motifs clearly reference the Catalan modernist tradition.
Condition
The object is in good condition. No cracks or restorations observed.
