A three-seater sofa designed in the 1960s by Aksel Bender Madsen and Henry Schubell for the Dutch company Bovenkamp. A beautiful sofa with a winged backrest and a wooden frame where the armrests elegantly merge into the backrest. The sofa is in very good condition, with signs of wear commensurate with its age, including minor scratches and dents. Marked on the underside.
Bovenkamp was a furniture manufacturer known primarily in the 1960s and 1970s for its high-quality designer furniture inspired by Scandinavian design. This led to the collaboration with Aksel Bender Madsen and Henry Schubell. They designed, among other things, this wingback sofa, part of the "Edith" collection, which also includes a men's chair and a women's chair with the same winged backrest.
