Bookcase / Vintage shelving by Michel Ducaroy (1925-2009) for Roche Bobois, 1970s.
Fully modular unit.
The bookcase is press-fitted to the floor and ceiling (no wall fixings) at variable heights (from 240 to max. 260 cm, or more if an extension system is added).
The bookcase is made of amber-smoked plexiglass and comprises :
- 3 brushed aluminum uprights with adjustable height.
- 6 shelves
- 1 open cabinet
- 1 closed cabinet (opens fully, see photo)
- 1 bar.
Slight wear on the plexiglass.
The floor/ceiling mounting system enables you to fix the bookcase as a room divider or offset from the wall.

W 139 cm x D 39 cm x H 240/250 cm (height may vary).
Michel Ducaroy (1925-2009) was a close associate of Roset, of which he became a leading designer, and also worked for Roche Bobois in the 1970s.
