This piece was made in Bohemia from ORIGINAL antique molds used in the years 1930 - 1939. Made of high-quality satin-finished pressed glass in a stylish French Art Deco design. Timeless design: beautiful decoration (paperweight) for home or office.
A stylized horse head with a gaping mouth and a geometric, ribbed mane in the iconic Art Deco style. Clear and satin-finished (frosted) crystal glass. In the 1920s and 1930s, Lalique designed thirty different glass mascots that were mounted on the radiator caps of luxury cars at the time. This specific model is named after the famous French horse racing track, Longchamp. There are two main versions of this design: the rarer 'Longchamp A' (with a double row of manes) and the 'Longchamp B' (with a single row of manes). Nowadays, these objects are also produced as luxury decorative items, bookends, or paperweights.
