A striking and highly decorative Art Deco pitcher produced by Boch Frères Keramis in La Louvière during the 1930s, featuring a design attributed to the celebrated Belgian artist Raymond Chevalier. Executed in a deep cobalt blue glaze with delicate hand-painted floral decoration and elegant gilded accents, the piece perfectly captures the refined yet playful spirit of Belgian Art Deco ceramics.
The sculptural handle, composed of flowing circular forms highlighted in gold, gives the pitcher a distinctly modernist silhouette while maintaining a sense of elegance and craftsmanship. The soft white floral motifs contrast beautifully against the vivid blue ground, creating a luminous decorative effect characteristic of high-quality hand-decorated ceramics of the period.
Entirely handcrafted and hand-painted, the pitcher reflects the artistic experimentation that made Boch Frères one of the most important Belgian ceramic manufactories of the early 20th century.
