These wall sconces, attributed to Fontana Arte, embody the luminous aesthetic of the 1970s. Their design features a chromed metal frame supporting cobalt blue tinted glass elements, creating a geometric and sculptural silhouette characteristic of that era.
The composition combines translucent blue glass with a chrome-finished metal frame, creating a play of reflections and transparencies. Each sconce measures 11.5 cm wide x 9.5 cm deep x 22 cm high. Each sconce weighs 560g. The glass sections are adjustable on their axis, allowing them to be positioned horizontally, for example. The light diffused through the tinted glass produces a soft and nuanced atmosphere, typical of Italian design from this period.
The set is in a condition reflecting its age and use; only the metal parts show some minor damage (pitting). The wiring is good, and the bulbs are screw-in (E14).
These light fixtures blend harmoniously into a Mid-Century Modern or contemporary interior. They are ideally placed in a hallway, on either side of a mirror, or in a living room, adding a touch of color and architectural character to the space.
