Product description
This large and rare sideboard from the Torino series by Belgian designer Frans Defour is a powerful example of brutalist design, crafted in the early 1970s. The front features a striking grid of deeply carved circular shapes, sculpted in solid oak and finished in a deep black stain, creating a play of light and shadow.
A thick frosted glass top is placed above the cabinet, giving it a modernist, architectural look. The interior combines natural wood with lacquered shelves, providing generous storage space behind the graphic facade.
This piece of furniture sits at the intersection of brutalism and early postmodernism - bold, geometric and unmistakably sculptural.
